Kentucky Senator Rand Paul showed some seriously sexist behavior in a recent CNBC interview: Paul, frustrated by the line of questioning, told female correspondent Kelly Evans to “calm down”—and at one point even shushed her. Yes, SHUSHED. You can see it for yourself right here:
Needless to say, it’s unlikely Paul would have shushed a male reporter (though that wouldn’t be any more appropriate). Evans took the shushing in stride, but it’s unbelievably frustrating that she should have to endure this kind of patronizing behavior. Sigh. Why is this still happening in the world?
