This New Web Series Searches For Feminism On The Streets Of New York City

Need a new entertaining and socially conscious web series to obsess over? Look no further. Shugs & Fats, AKA writers and performers Nadia Manzoor and Radhika Vaz, have arrived.

In this new series, two Hijabis take to the streets of NYC to “reconcile their long held cultural beliefs with their new life in ‘liberated’ Brooklyn.” Their first episode debuted on Monday and answers the age-old question: Can we judge people’s beliefs by the way they look? The answers are in turn uplifting and insulting, well intentioned and ignorant. And the responses are hilarious (but we suggest you confirm that for yourself!). Check it out:
