Top Trump admin officials apparently thought the Agency for International Development’s (USAID) global health programs were just… abortions! Yes, billions in funding that help the world’s most vulnerable is being slashed because these Muskrats at DOGE couldn’t do a simple Grok search or whatever for “What does USAID do?” All of the work they did fighting tuberculosis, HIV treatments, and saving children from dying should have been advertised more, instead of just promoting… (checks notes)… I know abortion is here… Wait, what’s that you say? USAID NEVER FUNDED ABORTION? OOPS.
Did these dipshits really think the US was spending $23 billion A YEAR on foreign abortions? I guess if your bosses are Musk and Trump and are associated with the world’s largest international sex trafficking ring… maybe it makes sense?
Urgent Care: No Longer Just For That Weird Cut On Your Finger
In the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and a rural area with no in-person abortion access within 500 miles, one doctor is trying a novel approach: offering medication abortion directly through their urgent care practice! THIS IS THE ENERGY WE LOVE TO SEE. With clinics closing across the country, abortion laws in constant limbo, we stan brick-and-mortar healthcare providers who innovate to meet community needs and, often, literally meet people where they’re at.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: abortion legality does not guarantee access! Until every abortion seeker can access their care without legal, financial, and logistical barriers, the wider medical community needs to keep stepping up and bridging those divides as they come.
