How did you feel the first time you got tested? Planned Parenthood wants to know. All this month, the organization is participating in the Get Yourself Tested 2009 campaign (an ongoing partnership between MTV and the Kaiser Family Foundation) to encourage young people to get screened for STDs, by asking those who have been tested to share their stories about the first time.
The goal of participating is ‘reaching out to young people and getting them to see STD testing for what it is, a simple and absolutely vital way to manage and protect their health,’ according to PP.
