Criminalizing Pregnancy Was Always Part of the Plan
A horrifying new report from Pregnancy Justice shows us that in the year after the fall of Roe, there have been almost 200 prosecutions for pregnancy-related conduct… and that is both the largest single-year number AND likely undercounted! Naturally, low-income and people of color bear the brunt of prosecutions because, again, we live not only in a dumpster fire, it’s a racist dumpster fire! Bottom line? HAVING A BODY IS NOT A CRIME.
Say It With Your Chests, Jerks
Senate Dems are busy laying a trap to prove that Republicans don’t actually care when people like Amber Thurman die because of their horrific abortion bans. How, you ask? By forcing them to vote to protect access to emergency abortion care this week or GTFO! If you’d rather see people DIE than get abortion care, it’s time to say it to our damn faces.
No One Wants to Date Someone Against Abortion Access
Here’s something we didn’t think we’d write: dating app Bumble is financing a documentary about abortion access?! After losing nearly one third of its Texas workforce because of Senate Bill 8 and and then Roe falling, wondering how they hell they were going to support their employees, they decided to lean in and throw some dollars down for the cause. OKAY, BUMBLE! WE SEE YOU!
