If you need some burlesque in your life and you live near the NYC area, you’re in luck because oh so much of it will be going on this week.
WANTED! Wild Bandits of Burlesque stars some of the best burlesque legends, art stars and circus side show freaks and will dazzle you with their novelty acts, showgirls, sing alongs campfire style and much more. All this takes place TONIGHT (!!) at the Rodeo Bar on 375 3rd Ave at 27th St. Live music starts at 9 pm with the show starting at 11. Sorry youngin’s, only 21+ it looks like.
If you can’t make it tonight, tomorrow at the Slipper Room (Orchard and Stanton in NYC) at 10 pm you can catch some live music and ladies performin’ some hot burlesque. Five bucks will get you into that little diddy.
And…this weekend is the NY Burlesque Festival! From the 1st-4th you can check out amazingly fun parties going on every night that will feature dozens upon dozens of talented ladies doing their thing. Check out the website to get the full lineup and ticket information.
Oh goodness, I almost forgot another event. On the 5th, at the Triad Theater at 9 pm, be sure to check out Erotic Broadway. In this event, Broadway performers offer up adults-only interpretations of love songs, stand-up comedy and dance. Sounds pretty fun to me.
