South Carolina just got the green light to block Medicaid patients from seeing their doctors—even for non-abortion care like cancer screenings. Why? Because six conservative justices said Medicaid patients don’t have the right to sue when the government screws them over. So now, if a state decides they don’t like your doctor (say, because they offer abortion), tough shit! You’re expected to suffer quietly while essential providers get axed from coverage.
Let’s be clear: this isn’t just about abortion. It’s about control. About pushing the most vulnerable patients out of care. About targeting providers who dare to exist.
