Martina Fugazzotto makes sex-ed comics an intimate nostalgia art-form. She specializes in autobiographical stories of innocence and experience. Her website features over a dozen of these comics in full. They explore subjects like summer-camp love, lost virginity and her pre-occupation with all things vaginal.
However, Ms Fugazzotto is now-one trick pony. Her early 90’s dayglow/cartoon aesthetic works nicely in her editorial work as well. She has a definite foot in the fine arts as well. In fact tomorrow, April the 4th, is the opening for her solo show entitled Cardboard & Found.
