We love Lizzo, and her new web series, “Big GRRL Small World” just proves how hilarious she is. The whole concept of the first episode asking the hard questions at the Minnesota State Fair, with ridiculous results. She goes around messing with people and even asking them for some of their food. Some of the best features are the Minnesotans who seem genuinely disinterested, confused, and mostly out of it.
We can’t forget that Lizzo is also an extremely talented rapper. Maybe you’ve heard her song “Batches and Cookies,” off her 2013 album Lizzobangers. It’s my new anthem. She’s also been featured in our “August Feelings” mixtape, and rightfully so. Last night, she made her Late Night debut on Letterman with “Bus Passes and Happy Meals”, and her performance is being compared to Odd Future’s breakout on late night in 2011. According to a writer in the audience, people clapped along and even broke the “no-Wooing rule” from the audience. I’m not gonna lie, I got goosebumps when I watched the video, and I would probably “Woo” too.
