Voters Spoke, But Missouri Ain’t Listening
Despite Missouri voters approving a constitutional amendment protecting abortion access and ridding the state of their near-total abortion ban, Attorney General Andrew Bailey is determined to enforce as many abortion restrictions as possible. Look, we get it, Andrew; it’s tough to lose, but it’s time to read the writing on the wall. And that writing says, “Missouri supports abortion, you absolute loser.” We’d be happy to read it aloud to you, Andrew, if you need our support!
Idaho: Two-Thirds of a Pile of Garbage is Still a Whole Lot of Garbage
A federal circuit court on Monday ruled that Idaho can enforce two out of three parts of their horrendous “abortion trafficking” law, striking down the part that banned even talking to a minor about abortion but leaving it open for the state to prosecute someone who drives a minor out of state to get abortion care. So basically, you can give a pregnant minor all of the information about abortion they want but not actually take them to get one. Make it make sense.
By giving this tragic law the green light, we can guarantee that Idaho may be the first but definitely will not be the last state to enact ridiculous “abortion trafficking” laws. As anti-abortion extremists are faced with the reality that abortion is a winning issue, they’ll continue to push laws like this to get around the will of the people and stop as many abortions as possible. Unfortunately, what happens in Idaho will most certainly not stay in Idaho, and we all have to be prepared to push back!
Constitution Schmonstitution!
Anti-abortion killjoys, Students for Life, are clearly reading a different version of the Constitution than the rest of us by making the argument that the 14th Amendment actually protects a fetus and outlaws abortion. We had hoped that this was a satirical article, but it’s clear that anti-abortion extremists will lie and manipulate any argument to brainwash those who listen. And make no mistake – any time legislators grant a fetus a right, they are taking one away from an actual living person like you.
Hey Students for Life, here’s your civics refresher in the first line of the 14th Amendment: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States…” No trick, lie, or distraction can change the literal wording, y’all.
