This Saturday, May 30th, MeanRed Productions, Free NYC, Newmindspace and Refuge NYC are teaming up to bring you a free marketplace along the Gowanus Canal. From 11a.m to 6p.m, haul all the crap you have lying around to BKYLN Yard . Leave your donations at the door and then spend the afternoon rooting through the piles of apparel, books, kitchen products, art supplies and music. Local DJs will be providing the background music and there will be a Treats Truck to satisfy your hunger that free goodies just won’t satisfy. There’s no cover to get in and you can take home whatever you can carry. Whatever’s left will be donated to Rock and Wrap it Up, which will distribute the goods to non-profits around the city.
