Curves in Couture

by Web Intern

The Australian version of Harper’s Bazaar featured ”plus-size” model Crystal Renn in a couture fashion spread (I put ”plus size” in quotes because she actually wears a size 12).

It’ not a special edition about plus sized models. It’s not a niche issue for curvy girls. It’s a couture fashion spread. With a plus sized model. And she looks just as hot as (if not more so than) skinny, ”straight-sized” models in the same scenarios.

We need more of this! And we need it to come to the US! We need to see women of all different sizes in print. And not in specialized areas; put curves in with sticks and whatever other shape analogies there are.

I love this spread. -Liza
