This isn’t a glitch—it’s a calculated attempt to leave people in the dark. But here’s the thing: when they try to turn off the lights, we bring the floodlights.

If So “Pro-Life,” Why Such A Hard-On For Violence?
Regardless of whatever lies are spewed by anti-abortion dingbats, the FDA didn’t rush approval of the abortion pill mifepristone in the year 2000–they spent years on the process despite political sabotage and violence from anti-abortion extremists. Much like how current abortion providers and advocates are forced into discretion, the FDA held staff names and secret meetings because of threats of violence and even added on unnecessary restrictions to appease the worst people. All of this over a pill that’s safer than those Takis you’re eating right now? Fuck that.
Mississippi: What Happened To Being The “Hospitality State”?
Add Mississippi to the list of states that have completely jumped the shark by introducing a bill that would give anyone who helps a teen access abortion 20 years to life in prison. That means if you give a teenager gas money, drive them, or house them in order to access abortion care–jail. Jessica Valenti breaks down how this isn’t about “protecting kids,” but is really a test run to criminalize care and restrict travel for everyone… it’s just easier to target the most vulnerable people first. Which makes total sense if you’re a complete monster.
The Horrors Persist and Guess What? THEY’RE RACIST!
Brittany Watts, who became a national talking point after she was denied miscarriage care and then arrested and charged with “abuse of a corpse,” has filed a lawsuit accusing her nurses and police of conspiring to fabricate evidence against her. Rather than receive the compassionate medical care she needed during a harrowing experience, she was met with unimaginable cruelty and left unattended in a hospital while in a life-threatening condition. It’s a brutal reminder of a system built to harm Black women, and we hope she wins literally everything she deserves and then some.
