New Yorkers, rejoice! Spring is finally here! Snow is officially in the rearview mirror and we’re in Spring’s sweet spot. The weather is warm and breezy, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, dogs and babies are smiling, you’re feeling optimistic, and we still have a month left before the mind-numbing heatwaves of Summer approach. What better way to celebrate than eating Instagram-worthy food, getting your braid on, and supporting local artists at the BUST Craftacular, this Saturday! Here’s a roundup of wonderful vendors and events you can expect at the BUST Craftacular Spring! in Industry City, Brooklyn from 11-7pm:
Free Activities All Day
That’s right, queens! Free stuff to do! From 11-7, you can treat yourself guilt-free and bask in the royalty you are.
Have your hair braided to your liking at the Braid Bar by Amika. Braids are a great way to style your hair without heat, and they last days. Have you always wanted to perfect a crown braid? Or maybe a fishtail? Ditch the confusing YouTube tutorials and have your silky mane styled by a professional.
Match your nails to your outfit, your hair, your dog, or your attitude at the I <3 Nail Art booth provided by Floss Gloss. “Floss your gloss like a boss” with hard-to-find colors and emerge a glamourous beaut. Plus, these polishes are vegan!
Moms, take a breather! Bed Stuy-based private spa Girlz Time has your back, literally. They’ll be providing free Bobbi Brown makeovers to all moms (and non-moms too!) and they’ll keep your kids entertained with a free craft. YES.
Remember the friendship bracelets you made in summer camp? The Forever Friends booth is similar, but more badass. Create beautiful friendship bracelets with the help of Sublime Stitching.
Would you like a crown, your highness? Yes. Always. Adorn your wind-swept locks with an angelic floral crown alongside us — the women of BUST!
Are you feeling yourself yet? After you’ve taken a few selfies, give yourself the permanent gift of a self portrait by talented illustrator Akane Ogura, and voilà! You’re a work of art!
If you love music, DJ That’s So Raben will be spinning the sounds of 90s nostalgia, starting at 1pm.
