So I hear you're gonna be in Brooklyn this weekend. May I just say two words, "Lucky you!" Or how about these two words, "Us too!" The BUST Craftacular Spring! is happening this weekend here in Industry City in Brooklyn! Clear your social calendars (or better yet, bring your brunch gang to us!) because we have enough fun, free activities to keep you busy all day Saturday!
Brooklyn Craft Company is coming all the way from Greenpoint to Booths #18-21 to teach three different crafting classes! Remember to reserve a place to have a seat for these classes, FAST! Our first class of the day has ALREADY sold out:
11am Beginner Macramé with Brooklyn Craft Company (SOLD OUT!)
1pm Metal & Crochet Bracelets with Brooklyn Craft Company
3pm Beginner Macramé with Brooklyn Craft Company
5pm Paper Marbling with Brooklyn Craft Company
All day long, artist Akane Ogura will be drawing Fashion Portraits at Booth #110. Come by and get a frame-worthy likeness of thyself drawn live by a skilled artist!
At 2pm, come and take a Flower Arranging class with Rose Red & Lavender at Booth #79! Learn how to make the most of the Spring blossoms you'll be bringing home now that New York is bloomin'!
The party heats up at 5pm when BK Style Foundation hosts a preview of Fashion Week Brooklyn on the Main Floor!
When you're done crafting your heart out, you can get totally rejuvenated for FREE thanks to our wonderful vendors! Get NAILED at the Floss Gloss nail art bar! THPH- and cruelty-free nail laquer in eye-popping, trend-hopping shades? YES to the max! Come to Booths #77-78 and leave lookin' FRESH for Spring!
Brooklyn spa Girlz Time will be at Booth #1, offering free face-painting for kiddos and Bobbi Brown makeovers for the growned-ups!
At Booths #80 & #81, we'll be churning out DIY Flower Crowns. Which is to say, YOU'LL be making them. With our expert guidance, of course. Come prepared to work!
Take a trip back to your summer camp days and make DIY Friendship Bracelets with Sublime Stitching at Booths #82 & #83! You remember these, right? Don't worry, we'll help you out. It's just like riding a bicycle, except we can almost promise you that when you're making friendship bracelets with us, you won't come crashing down in the parking lot of the Brooklyn Public Library and cut your shin open with a CitiBike.
And of course, don't forget to enter BUST’s raffle at Booths #11 & #12! You might get lucky!
After all this fun and pampering, you might feel inspired to give back! So sign up to walk the Brooklyn Bridge with Denim Day NYC (Booth #58) to support the cause of debunking harmful myths surrounding sexual assault.
Who doesn't love a good laugh? Shop & hang out with Lady Parts Justice at Booths #37 & #38. One you watch their awesome video above, you'll see what I mean!
And of course, you'll want to support visibility for women in media by subscribing to BUST! We can be found at Booths #11 & #12! Sign up for a print subscription with us, face-to-face, and not only will you receive the very best in feminist print delivered to your house's mail-hole, you'll also snag one of our adorable "Totes Feminist" totes! See, it's a "tote" bag, that says "totes," get it?
Have you worked up an appetite yet? I sure have! Lucky for you, there will be plenty to nosh on at the Craftacular! We've got Coffee from Sail Away (Booth #136), Tea from David's Tea (Booth #133), and Beer & Cocktails at Booths #134-135! Grab a bite to eat at End’s Meat (Booths #41-42) or Samosa Queens (Booths #62-63) or nab a sweet treat at Elements Truffles (#60 A) or Twizzle’s Tasty Treats (#35). You can always scoot across our courtyard to The Landing for a sit-down meal and a quick game of pool (yes, pool!) at their swanky, spacious location.
Of course, we couldn't make it happen without our wonderful sponsors, so stop by their booths and show them some love! David’s Tea will be at Booth #133, serving up refresh-a-ments! Babeland (who doesn't love Babeland OMG srsly) will be at Booth #16, so go give them a high five for their good work! If you're in need of an energy boost, you need to swing by the Green Mountain Energy at Booth #75 — there will even be a place there to charge up your phone if you're in need!
So soon! So soon! See you there!
