Georgia Is Arresting People For Crimes That Don’t Exist
Georgia is, once again, doing the most worst by charging a woman with MURDER for allegedly using abortion pills… even though the law literally says they can’t. That’s right — Georgia is conveniently ignoring their own state law that disallows criminalizing ending a pregnancy in order to, idk, prove what total assholes they are? Punish women and pregnant people just to satisfy their extremist circle jerk cred? We expect this shit from the statehouse, full of arrogant demagogues, so the real kick in the dick is who reported this woman to local police: the hospital staff, where she sought help for pain. Yes, the folks WHO HAVE NO LEGAL OBLIGATION TO REPORT AN ABORTION TO POLICE (any and everyone can order telehealth abortion pills) but do have a duty to care for their patients, chose instead to be dirty fucking snitches. Say it with us: nobody talks, everybody walks.
The Buzzfeed Listicle From Hell
The Ohio House approved HB 754 on Wednesday, which would require a “certificate of life” and a death certificate for all fetal deaths in the state if a “heartbeat” was detected. Think this is just for those who experience a miscarriage or stillbirth? THINK AGAIN! HB 754 will create a gotdamn registry of pregnancies and abortion seekers, and we’re gonna give you zero guesses on whether that list could be used by authorities to track pregnancy outcomes because the only answer is DUH.
Though Ohio voters overwhelmingly voted to codify abortion in their constitution, Ohio electeds still don’t seem to get the message. Now we understand why the Buckeye State has produced such a high number of people who choose to literally leave the Earth.
