The trailer for the new upcoming movie, Whip It, has come out and personally I’m pretty excited. Based on Shauna Cross’s autobiographical book on being a roller derby girl, it stars Ellen Page, Alia Shawkat (been waiting to see her in something post-Arrested Development), and Drew Barrymore. This is also incidentally Barrymore’s directorial debut and the screenplay has been penned by Shauna Cross herself. There needs to be more female director/writer movies and not just ones about bridezillas. It comes out on October 9th. Enjoy! -Sylvie
