The Abortion Pill Mifepristone Will Always Be in Fashion
Mifepristone is THAT GIRL. Which naturally means that disgusting old men want to tear her down and smear her good name. Hot on the heels of acting Attorney General Todd Blanche promising to use the Comstock Act to go after abortion pills, abobo warrior Jessica Valenti broke the news that human pinworm Josh Hawley is now specifically going after Plan C Pills, one of the best and most recommended websites out there for accessing information about medication abortion no matter what state you live in.
Did you catch that? Plan C only provides information about where you can get abortion pills. The gestational Gestapo don’t want you to know anything about mifepristone and misoprostol—the safe and effective abortion pills used by most people because they offer them the most choice and are still available by mail in all 50 states.
Ever since this broke, conservative “news” sites have been totally crashing out over the fact that Plan C had an absolutely adorable onesie that all of the badass pro-abort mommas bought for the itty bitties in their lives (plus a ton of other hella cute merch here)! Can these dorks ever have a real problem for once in their lives?
No. BUT! There Was An Abortion Pill Victory This Week
A judge in South Dakota blocked the state from enforcing part of its abortion ban that makes it illegal to advertise or even provide information about abortion pills. The ruling stops the state from using that provision to take legal action against the website Mayday Health, which provides information about abortion pills and where to get them. Sound familiar? YEAH, IT’S BASICALLY THE EXACT SAME AS THE STORY ABOVE.
“But, Dooks!” you say, “There’s no conservatives shitting themselves over a piece of clothing in this story!”
WRONG!
If this part of the ban were to be enforced, SD would have to answer the question of whether or not a former state Senator could also be sued for wearing one of Mayday Health’s cool-ass sweatshirts which we have conveniently linked for your enjoyment.
Right now, abortion pills ARE available in all 50 states because of mail and telehealth. These political pissants know this, and you can tell because of how targeted their attacks on the abortion pill have been. The laws and the bans will get more horrifying and specific until they can obliterate any semblance of bodily autonomy all in the effort to take away abortion access.
