This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things (Like Fertility Options)
SURPRISE, SURPRISE: new research presented by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists shows that in the year after the Dobbs decision, rates of sterilization for women increased, which DUH! When the state constantly interferes with our reproductive options, they leave us little choice but to make damn sure that if we don’t want (more) kids, we say, “FUCK IT! Take it all!”
This research is especially rich and timely while this administration metaphorically tattoos “UNDERBABIED” on our foreheads. Women are choosing sterilization even earlier in life! So not only have abortions increased since Dobbs fell, more folks are choosing not to have kids at all when given no other options. Epic fucking backfire, ya dicks.
