Is it just us, or does it feel like the last two weeks have lasted for about fourteen billion light years? While the news cycle is giving us all the twisties, it doesn’t stop the work from being done! We’ve been out on the road preaching the incredible work of indies wherever we can – including bringing Minnesota Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan right to one of our favorite indie providers, Whole Woman’s Health of Minnesota! They talked abortion access, the important work of indies, and the privilege of being in a state that supports abortion access and serves those who don’t! It was a good day, friends.

KANSAS: GEE, THANKS FOR BEING DELAYED GARBAGE
In a “compromise,” Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach and abortion providers reached a deal to hold off for one year their plan to harass abortion patients by making them describe their reason for getting an abortion. Wow, how magnanimous of this anti-abortion zealot to hold off on being a supreme asshole for a whole entire year! We can do anti-abortion groin goons in Kansas a favor, though, and just give them the answers they want: people are getting abortions BECAUSE THEY CHOOSE TO GET THEM. Bing bang boom – question answered. You’re welcome, Kobach.
TEXAS: IF STUDENTS NEED AN ABORTION, A HALL PASS AIN’T GONNA CUT IT
Two professors at the University of Texas are suing the Biden administration. Why? Because they think it’s THEIR business if their students are absent from class to get abortions. That’s right, professors John Hatfield and Daniel Bonevac refuse to comply with Title IX rules that prevent discrimination against students who have had abortions, arguing it forces them to support what they consider criminal activity. Pop Quiz: Whose business is it if a student needs an abortion? The answer WON’T surprise you.
