It’s 88 degrees in Brooklyn as I write this, but we’ve only got another month or so before my favorite season arrives—fall. While at this point in the year I’m pretty sick of my summer clothes, I also don’t want to buy things that I’ll wear for five weeks before putting away until next June. So, here are a bunch of dresses that will take you from summer to fall. How? For summer, pair them with sandals and not much else—maybe some sunglasses, a giant straw hat, a glass of rosé. For fall, pair them with any combo from this list, depending on how cold it is and the look you’re going for: tights, boots, a scarf, a sweater, a t-shirt underneath, a beanie, apple cider donuts, hot chocolate.
