If you’re in New York on July 13th, make sure you come out to our first ever Zero Waste event! The day party, thrown with Pussy Power House, will feature all sorts of things – book and clothing swaps, panels on composting and crafting, demos, workshops, and awesome eco-friendly vendors! But here at BUST, we also like to throw a good party, and you can guarantee that Zero Wasted will be no different.
At 7:30, the awesome emcee/performance artist duo Nate and Hila will be dazzling us with their unique blend of comedy, hip hop, and philosophy. Their main areas of focus are Ecology and Sex Positivity — they invite you to think, laugh, and booty-shake your way into actively loving your planet, and your self. If you’ve ever yearned for high-concept raps about bee and plant reproduction, composting, zero-waste and species diversity (who hasn’t?), then these are the clownish, contemplative rappers you need in your life.
And then from 8-10pm, get ready to hit the dance floor for our after-event sober dance party, Zero Wasted. Featuring New York’s legendary DJ Dirtyfinger on the decks. Think you’re too shy and can’t dance sober? Well never fear, think of our host Debbie Attias (of Dancorcism and Fun Heals Everything) as a “dance fluffer”, she will get us moving, providing high vibes and sick dance moves!
Zero Waste will be on July 13th. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets include admission to all talks, panels, swaps, demos, performances, and Zero Wasted dance party. All tickets include a 1-year BUST digital subscription for you or a friend.
