“You are cordially invited to attend the comedy event of the new year on the 30th of January, the year of our Lord, 2025, at Amazon Prime Video. Please join filmmaker Nicholas Stoller— best known for his previous outings Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Five-Year Engagement, and Neighbors—for an evening of laughter as he joins in the joyous union of Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell for a wedding-themed comedy of epic proportions.”
In the comedy You’re Cordially Invited, Ferrell and Witherspoon play a father of the bride and a wedding coordinator who step into the overused wedding trope of a venue being double-booked for the sake of comedy, but with a twist: This is Nicholas Stoller, so expect a fair amount of raunchiness, crude language, and foul play. Ferrell and Witherspoon are out for blood and watching the two destroy each other over flowers, photographers, and a gazebo should be great fun. Ferrell is always entertaining to watch, but an unhinged Ferrell on the brink of madness going insane over a wedding venue should be pure brain candy. Especially for anyone who has ever trudged through wedding hell.
Let the games begin.
