I know you might be trying to forget some of your horrible 90s-fashion-inspired moments, like how you wore a massive rasta hat or almost got a tattoo of a daisy inside a yin yang on your shoulder. But there *are* some things about the 90s that are worth remembering, and we’re not just talking about Clueless.
Take, for example, 90s rock band 4 Non Blondes– the group behind the megahit single “What’s Up.” The band had a one-time reunion this past weekend, at the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center’s annual fundraising event, An Evening With Women. That’s a pretty damn good reason to reunite.
Former lead singer of 4 Non Blondes, Linda Perry, was the master of ceremonies for the event, which was hosted by comedian and author Margaret Cho–a longtime BUST icon. Talk about some powerful ladies.
They reunited to (of course) perform their 1992 mega hit “What’s Up?” off the album Bigger, Better Faster, More!
The event raised more than $600,000 to benefit the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center, which offered services for for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, “welcoming nearly a quarter-million client visits from ethnically diverse youth and adults each year” – a worthy cause indeed!
