YOUNITY is having an opening for their new exhibition Heart and Soul! YOUNITY is a womens art collective focused on creating a forum for female voices in the art world. The organization was founded by artists Alice Mizrachi and Toofly in 2007 as a reaction to the under representation of female artists. They also serve to mentor young artists and create a community that they can thrive in. Their second annual YOUNITY Arts Exhibit: Heart and Soul is happening on October 17th at Alphabetta (Greenpoint Brooklyn). There, 60 artworks of new and established women in the Contemporary Urban Arts scene express what the term Heart and Soul means to them.
