We’ve already established that Imperator Furiosa from Mad Max: Fury Road is one of the single most badass female characters in film. She’s physically-disabled, an incredible fighter, yet full of compassion and emotion. She wants to free the “The Wives” and get redemption. The only thing Furiosa was missing was a theme song. Youtube user Albert Lopez answered this call to prayer with his mashup music video, “The Unbreakable Furiosa”.
This video combines the opening for Unbreakably Kimmy Schmidt with scenes from Mad Max of Imperator Furiosa and the wives. It is the perfect combination. Unbreakably Kimmy Schmidt is about a woman breaking free from the man who has kept her and three other women in a bunker underground for fifteen years. Like Furiosa, she wants to make sure Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne, the man who did this to her, pays for his crimes. So the two were ripe for the mashing!
In his mashup, Lopez paints Immortan Joe as Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne. Furiosa and The Wives are “unbreakable” and “strong as hell”. Check it out for yourself below.
