Women of Burning Man: SF Lecture to Discuss Creativity and Community Next Week

by Rebecca Peterson

The Man burns in 306 days but next week, San Franciscans are invited to “The Women of Burning Man: Fueling Creativity and Community with Harley Dubois and Rebecca Anders.”

The lecture will feature Harley and Rebecca, in discussion of their experiences as creative leaders at and in connection with the summertime art festival.

Harley is a founding member of the Burning Man Board and Black Rock Arts Foundation, two major organizational forces within the Burning Man community. Rebecca is the creator of the Flux Foundation, as well as a sculptor and metal worker who focuses on large-scale public art. (Check out the Flux Foundation if you’re interested in getting involved with giant art projects in the Bay Area!)

The lecture is Thursday, Nov. 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the California Institute of Integral Studies, and tickets are $15/$20. More information can be found here.
