I recently had the pleasure of being invited by the folks in ANFAO and the Italian Trade Commission to check out all the smashing new eyewear in Milan at their annual trade show. They flew some writers from the US on a private jet for the weekend, and we even got an in-flight fashion show of, you guessed it, eyeglasses! Once in Milan, the land where all the men wear suits and are suspiciously tan, we got to do some fun things and looked at A LOT of very cool sunglasses! But perhaps the highlight for me was the announcement by one manufacturer, Marchon, that they are bringing back Pucci sunglasses! Perhaps the most colorful and fun designer to have ever lived, Emilio Pucci dressed everyone who was anyone from Jackie O to Issac Hayes, and of course, La Liz in his crazy, beautiful designs. Look for the new Pucci eyewear to launch in January 08.
