She’s baaaaack…
The one and only Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott is about to return to the scene with her seventh studio album, tentatively titled Block Party. Missy gave us a little taste of what is to come via “9th Inning” and “Triple Threat,” tracks from the upcoming LP featuring her longtime friend and collaborator Timbaland.
It’s been seven long, anxious years (for us, at least) since Missy dropped Cookbook, an album that graced us with beloved dance party jams like “We Run This” and “Lose Control”–but by the sound of these new tracks, the 41 year-old rapper’s still got it. After five Grammys, six platinum albums, and sales of more than seven million albums, being awesome is just in her DNA.
