Lion Babe is the New York City duo of singer Jillian Hervey and producer Lucas Goodman, but most importantly, they have made your new favorite jam “Jump Hi” and it even features rapper Childish Gambino. The track, off their new self-titled EP, came out in late October but the music video just premiered last week.
The video follows the lion-haired, high-spirited, and vocally talented Hervey dancing around New York City with Goodman following close behind, both pictured jumping in slow-mo to reach for the sky as the track pulses rhythmically with a loop sampled from Nina Simone’s “Mr. Bojangles.” It will definitely get you smiling, and maybe even shopping for a trampoline.
