If you haven’t fantasized about having a bestie like Amy Poehler, then you’re lying to yourself. Finally, in an interview with Vulture, she has revealed to the masses just what it takes to be deemed worthy of late-night texting marathons and corny birthday presents:
“Money, connections, power, sexiness, thick hair, fast cars, a sweet-ass booty, and a desire to travel. All those things.”
Admittedly, her standards are pretty high, but I’d do it all to have just one mall montage scene with her.
“I haven’t been able to find one person that meets that criteria. And I need someone who not only can work it but twerk it, and if you don’t know the difference, beat it. I was thinking today that I don’t think enough people are talking about how hard-twerking mothers work. Or how hard it is to be a twerking mother these days.”
Poehler also spoke about her upcoming role in Anchorman 2 and the future of Leslie on Parks and Rec. I had to chuckle at her suggestion of tying up Rashida Jones Misery-style so she never leaves the show. But back to the best friend business: I wholeheartedly suggest we all memorize this interview or print it out as a keepsake. Maybe, someday, one of us will be able to both work it and twerk it hard enough for our Queen Amy.
