Amandla Stenberg Turned Down Black Panther To Give Space To Darker-Skinned Actors

WHO Releases New Guidelines Encouraging Doctors To Respect Women’s Choices

The WHO recently released new childbirth guidelines, telling doctors to respect women’s choices on pain management, delivery position, and companionship. They also reversed a decades-long misconception that a slow labor is a dangerous labor, which means that women can now wait longer before receiving a c-section or delivery inducing drugs (but only if they choose to do so). A Vatican Magazine Tells Catholic Church To Stop Treating Nuns Like “Lowly Servants”

Missouri Governor Eric Greitens was indicted yesterday on a felony invasion of privacy charge, after he allegedly took a non-consensual sexual photo of a woman during an extramarital affair. Read more at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

A Washington state woman filed a lawsuit against Delta Airlines after she was allegedly groped on a flight from Seattle to Amsterdam. She says that although she was allowed to change seats, the crew eventually asked her to move back to the seat next to her assailant and failed to report the incident to law enforcement. A private prison transport officer was detained Tuesday for allegedly assaulting an inmate during transport — but an FBI agent  has suggested that there could be over 100 other victims. Read more at Arkansas Online.

The FBI has opened an internal investigation into their handling of the Larry Nassar investigation. Multiple gymnasts filed complaints as early as 2015, but Nassar was not investigated for more than a year — and the FBI wants to find out why. Read more at The Wall Street Journal.
