The Pains’ video for their newest single, “The Body” off their album Belong is probably my favorite of theirs so far. They’ve had super 8 film adorableness in “Everything With You,” plushie parties in “Higher Than the Stars,” and 90’s record store madness in “Heart In Your Heartbreak,” but this video for “The Body” hits a more nostalgic chord. I love the way it catches that mix of happy sadness and longing that nostalgia for a simpler time brings. It also doesn’t hurt that they found some uncannily similar looking kids to play them in the video!
