UN Launches Stop Rape Now Campaign

by Katie Oldaker

The UN has launched a campaign to raise awareness about and prevent rape all around the globe. The campaign, called Stop Rape Now, focuses on rape as a part of conflicts. The website, StopRapeNow.org, is filled with news and ways to get involved. It also features a novel idea: you can, with your webcam, take a picture of yourself holding your arms in front of you in the shape of an X, which is then uploaded and added to a map to show the supporters of the campaign. You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Check out their PSA, featuring Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman, below.
