TLC’s Greatest Hits Album, New Movie, and All Other Things Awesome

by Alanna Vagianos

I have learned everything I know from TLC.  When looking for a partner: “No, I don’t want no scrubs. A scrub is guy that can’t get no love from me.” When navigating life: “Don’t go chasing waterfalls, please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to.” When and how to creep: “So I creep yeah, just keep it on the down low, said nobody is supposed to know.” And yes, I know all of these lyrics by heart.

This is why I am SO EXCITED for TLC’s new greatest hits album, 20, that hits stores TODAY and (let’s not forget the best part) the VH1 original movie CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, which premiers Monday, Oct. 21st.  Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas have appeared on several shows including Good Morning America and radio channel 105.1’s Breakfast Club to promote the new album and biopic.

The teaser for CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story looks emotional, exciting, and all-around life-changing – basically everything you would expect from TLC. Actress Keke Palmer plays the role of Chilli, Drew Sidora as T-boz, and Lil’ Mama as the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. It’s almost creepy how much Lil’ Mama looks like Left Eye.
