Tiny Deaths Celebrate Post-Breakup Freedom With “Wrong”: BUST Premiere

by Aoife Riach

Minneapolis-based duo Tiny Deaths are back, and we’re delighted to premiere the video to their new single “Wrong.”

The duo is made up of vocalist Claire de Lune and producer Grant Cutler. “Wrong” is the first single off their forthcoming album Elegies, which will be released on February 3rd, 2017 (preorder here!).

Tiny Deaths’ music has been described as “lush with texture but still dreamy enough to feel like the soundtrack to late-night brainstorming” (Bitch) and “a polished, soaring brand of brooding” (Stereogum).

Claire tells BUST, “Wrong is a song about being in a relationship long after you should’ve left because you built this ‘home’ together, whether literal or figurative. In the video, we explore the idea of leaving this safe space and exploring one’s own freedom and both the fear and empowerment that can come with that.”

The video was directed by Mike Thienes and Madison Holler, see it first here!

You can pre-order Elegies on iTunes and for every pre-order sold Tiny Deaths will donate $1 to Planned Parenthood.
