Can you imagine that in this day and age it took a man two years, one sexual discrimination lawsuit and a change in California law to win the right to use his wife’s last name? Thanks to the perseverence of the Diana and Micheal (nee Buday) Bijon, with the help of the American Civil Liberties Union, Californian men now have the option to take their wives name in marriage-a privilege still verboten in 40 other states.
