Women’s March Foundation: The Fight Of Our Generation

This is what resistance looks like.
This is what solidarity feels like.
And this is what the fight for our future really means.

Witness the power, the passion, and the people behind the movement.

The fight for gender equality didn’t end with the right to vote—or with Roe v. Wade. It’s an ongoing struggle that demands loud voices, bold action, and grassroots power. Since 2016, the Women’s March Foundation has been on the front lines of that fight, organizing some of the largest mass mobilizations for women’s rights in U.S. history.

Based in Los Angeles and mobilizing nationwide, the foundation was born out of necessity following the 2016 election, when women across the country said enough and took to the streets. In 2017 they brought 750,000 people together in L.A. alone as part of the largest single-day protest the country has ever seen. And they haven’t let up since.

Most recently, on March 8, 2025—International Women’s Day—the foundation led thousands in a march demanding bodily autonomy, equal pay, immigrant justice, and freedom for all women. Their message? Women’s rights are non-negotiable.

But their work goes beyond rallies and protest signs. Through their Feminist Street Initiative, the foundation is literally rewriting the map—renaming public spaces to honor feminist leaders like Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Dolores Huerta, Wilma Mankiller, Gloria Steinem, and more. These symbolic victories are a powerful reminder that women’s contributions deserve public recognition, permanence, and reverence.

At its core, the Women’s March Foundation is about building legacy, sharing power, and ensuring that the next generation of activists is ready to lead. The following images, captured during this year’s International Women’s Day March in Los Angeles, are a testament to that mission: fierce, fearless, and deeply rooted in radical love.
