You might’ve already seen the great boylesque parody of Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” by Mod Carousel, but this one gets an A+++ for creativity and FEMINISM. These ladies totally rewrote the song to show the overtones of sexism, male dominance, and general inappropriateness of the lyrics. The original video and lyrics basically indicates that women are pretending to be “good girls” by playing hard to get with dudes. (“You know you want it.” That definitely doesn’t sound like a precursor to date rape…) But really, they just “REALLY DON’T WANT IT.” THANKS, BUT NO THANKS.
