Le Petit Mort is simulating stimulation. The new app, available on Android, uses musical terms and low-resolution photos of vulvas to make orgasm the victory in a tough game. Here’s the description on the Google Play store:
“La Petite Mort is a mindful game that allows you to take a break and get into a deeply relaxed state. Explore this meditative and sensuous drawing experience with 4 different abstract audio-visual landscapes with dynamic compositions. Move your finger on the screen and have the pixels respond to the slightest touch and slowly build up the music to different climaxes.”
When pixels are stimulated correctly, music swells and a feeling of intimacy can be felt by the player and anyone watching. The touch-based game was created by Lovable Hat Cult, a small Danish studio, in hopes of being the first in a budding genre of female stimulation.
“As a player, if you touch an area in the right way, you can see that pleasure spread on screen as the cells light up, blossoming from the stimulated point,” says Jordan Erica Webber in an article for The Guardian. “You can draw lines of pleasure or expanding circles, until the whole screen fills in a pulsing climax.”
We love this idea, and we can’t wait for the simulation to cross our borders. But for those of us with iPhones, we’ll have to wait—Apple has deemed the game inappropriate for users due to its use of crude vocabulary (like crescendo).
“I was talking to the guy from Apple on the phone, actually, which is cool, they take the time out to talk to you,” Patrick Jarnfelt, the game’s designer, tells The Guardian. “He told me, ‘Yeah, you and me are French. We understand these things.’ But they have to reach a broad market, and America, and they have to be family-friendly, so they have just not accepted anything like this. And they put their own kind of threshold on what is crude and not crude, and you cannot even discuss it.”
While we hope that Apple will change its mind, we’re loving that this game is available somewhere, and for a relatively low price at $2.50.
