The Prettiots Debut New Music Video for “Boys (I Dated in High School)”

by Mariana Garces

If you’re going to pick one, The Prettiots are just the band you would want to write a brutally honest ode to all the dummies you dated in high school. Made up of spunky front woman Kay Kasparhauser, Rachel Trachtenburg (of Supercute!) and Lulu Prat (Tangiers), the New York based band is a bit of uke-pop, indie, and pop rock rolled into one cute package, with some serious attitude.

The video for “Boys (I dated in high school)”, directed by noted photographer Richard Kern, is nostalgic while it also pokes fun at all of Kasparhauser’s jerk ex boyfriends. You know the type, the kind of relationships you look back on like “what was I thinking??” At the same time, the video perfectly captures all the innocent awkwardness of teenage relationships, with the boys just sitting around, shirtless and fidgety.

This song is just one from the band’s forthcoming EP. Check out their live dates below!
