The London Olympics are coming to a close. After all that excitement and preparation, it’s pretty crazy that it’ll be done in just a few days. Luckily, we saw some amazing athletes rise to the occasion and they’re bringing back a lot of gold to America.
While those Olympic athletes were giving every competition their all, they were also giving us some enormous laughs, albeit unintentionally. Here are the best internet sensations, memes and gaffs to come out of the Summer Games.
McKayla isn’t impressed.
After getting the silver medal, gymnast McKayla Maroney was not impressed. She was not satisfied, happy, and certainly not cheerful. Nope, not one bit. And she isn’t impressed by Drake, Chris Brown, the rowing team (and their mysteriously, incredibly tight pants) or a weird Jesus-wrestling super fight either.

The Queen is even less impressed.
Queen Elizabeth II was clearly not impressed at the Olympics. And thankfully, someone caught her stern stare in a very telling photo. She probabaly missed her Corgis or something. And I don’t blame her. Maybe she was tired after jumping out of a plane for the opening ceremonies, oh wait….Anyways, this is probably where McKayla learned her amazing apathetic looks.
Ryan Lochte is confused.
Poor handsome, simple-minded Ryan Lochte. He doesn’t know what 7×4 is. He’s 27 and dresses like a “rock star, slash, like, hip hop” frat boy. He’s trying to restart the whole Kayne West stunner shades trend. He should try to talk less… and we all know it.
Tom Daley is totally naked?
This one is is really the fault of our Olympic television producers. For some reason, the score bar for UK’s newest heartthrob diver, Tom Daley, went right over his tiny speedo. He looked a lot more like he had just gotten out of the shower… than the Olympic pool. Awkward? Or amazing. There’s not a ton left to the imagination, so you be the judge!
Aly Raisman’s going out!
I’m so happy that Raisman got to go blow off some steam after all her hard work this summer. She, on the other hand, is not so happy after she accidently tweeted her direct message about going clubbing post-Olympics. The gymnast deleted her very public tweet afterward, but @Max_Read got a screenshot. You go Raisman! You do it up! Hope you had an awesome time with those guy gymnasts.
With viral sensations like this, I just can’t wait until the next Olympics. Hopefully, the Winter Games in Sochi, Russia will be just as fun and full of just as much gossip, and of course victory for the U.S.A!
