The Lonely Island have joined forces with Snoop Dog to bring us their latest single, “Turtleneck & Chain,” the title track of their new album. If, like me, you’ve sat in front of your laptop streaming videos of ‘I’m on a Boat” or “Dick in a Box,” laughing your tail off, then “Turtleneck & Chain” won’t disappoint. The Lonely Island tell us all about how fancy turtlenecks, thin gold chains, and drinking light beer in public improves both their public persona and their sex lives. Poking fun at musicians who rock this style, Snoop Dog says “Oh, you like my style, say you like my crew/Say you wanna be under my chest/this turtleneck is, like, one of my best,” over a sweet, bass-heavy hip-hop beat. They depict a world in which the bigger your turtleneck and the thinner your chain, the cooler you are. It’s hilarious and totally dance-able. I promise. Check it out here.
