Director Michel Gondry, known for directing Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep has created an ironically hilarious video for The Living Sisters, “How Are You Doing.” The LA-based musicians, Inara George, Eleni Mandell, and Becky Stark have a very catchy sound and made a music video that seems to contradict the happy lyrics of “How Are You Doing?” The series of catastrophic events include burning your morning breakfast and your house down, riding on an airplane during a storm, and going into labor. However, the girls are nonchalantly talking to each other on the phone as if it’s just another day for them. Watching epic disasters unfold while listening to a sweet tune seems oddly comical and it gets more and more absurd as the video moves on. I wonder if it was Michel Gondry or The Living Sisters who came up with this crazy idea. Either way- you can’t stop watching it, in fear of something really, really horrible happening. Check it out:
