Elena adjusted the hem of her pencil skirt, the silk lining whispering against her thighs as she stood at the floor-to-ceiling window of her forty-second-floor office. Below, Nairobi’s skyline glittered like scattered diamonds in the dusk. At thirty-eight, she ran East Africa’s most aggressive fintech expansion. Men twice her age still called her “ambitious.” She preferred “unstoppable.”
Tonight she felt the familiar ache…not just ambition, but hunger. The kind that made her cross her legs tighter during board meetings.
The soft knock came at 8:17 pm. “Ms. Kiptoo? The revised Q3 projections.”
David. Twenty-nine. Cambridge-educated, quiet voice, shoulders that filled his tailored shirts too well. He had joined six months ago and had not once looked at her the way most men did like a prize or a threat. He looked at her like he was reading code only he could see.
She didn’t turn around immediately. “Bring them in.”
The door clicked shut. The lock engaged. She hadn’t told him to do that.
He set the tablet on her desk. She finally faced him. The city lights painted gold across the sharp line of his jaw. Elena stepped closer until the heat of his body brushed the front of her blouse.
“You’ve been staying late,” she said, voice low.
“So have you.”
She reached up and loosened his tie with one slow tug. “I don’t like unfinished business, David.”
His breath hitched, but his hands stayed at his sides…waiting. That restraint made her wetter than any eager grope ever could.
Elena slid her fingers down the front of his shirt, feeling the hard plane of his chest. “On your knees.”
He dropped without hesitation, the sound of his knees hitting the carpet sending a thrill straight between her legs. She hiked her skirt up slowly, revealing the lace tops of her stockings and the absence of anything beneath. His eyes darkened with reverence.
When his mouth found her, it was worshipful…slow, deliberate strokes of his tongue that made her grip the edge of the desk. She bit her lip to stay quiet, but small, needy sounds still escaped. He licked her like he had all night, like her pleasure was the only KPI that mattered. Two fingers joined his tongue, curling just right, and Elena came with a shuddering gasp, thighs trembling around his ears.
She pulled him up before the aftershocks faded, kissing the taste of herself from his mouth. “Inside me. Now.”
David lifted her onto the desk, scattering reports she would redo tomorrow. He freed himself…thick, flushed, already leaking…and pushed in with one smooth thrust. Elena’s head fell back. The stretch was perfect. He fucked her with controlled power, each stroke deep and measured, eyes locked on hers. No frantic pounding. Just relentless, exquisite rhythm.
She came again, harder, nails digging into his shoulders through his shirt. He followed seconds later, burying himself to the hilt with a low groan that vibrated against her throat.
They stayed joined, breathing hard. City lights shimmered beyond the glass.
Elena traced his jaw. “This doesn’t change anything at work.”
“I know,” he whispered, kissing the corner of her mouth. “But it changes everything else.”
She smiled…the small, private smile she never showed in boardrooms. “Good. Now fix your tie. We have a 9 a.m. with London.”
