the bird and the bee Debut New Song for the “Sex Tape” Soundtrack (and Judd Apatow Approves!)

by Emma Tilden

The bird and the bee are back!  And this time it’s with their fun and catchy new song “Undone,” which is featured in the film “Sex Tape,” (Jason Segal, Cameron Diaz, Rob Lowe) released last Friday, July 18.

The LA-based indie synth-pop duo, made up of Inara George (“the bird”) and Greg Kurstin (“the bee”) have been on a 4-year hiatus from releasing original music.  While we’ve all been suffering from the long wait, the supreme fabulousness of their new single shows that the break can only have been a good thing!  (Judd Apatow likes it too!)

So what have the two been up to in the past 4 years since their last record?  Well, they’ve collaborated with a number of artists including The National’s Matt Berninger (a partnership which produced the track “All Our Endless Love”), Inara and the group The Living Sisters.

Clearly the bird and the bee have been busy.  I just hope they don’t take 4 years to produce another original song!  They’re too good to wait that long again!
