The Best and Most Random Fashion’s Night Out Events in NYC and Across the U.S.

by Kristina Uriegas-Reyes

This year, September 8th, Fashion’s Night Out will be celebrated by over 1,000 stores in New York City alone, along with a crazy amount of stores in over 250 cities across the U.S., joining in with the 18 total countries celebrating around the world! Whoa. When you think about it, that’s actually pretty amazing and seems kind of exciting from an economic standpoint. As the actual night approaches, more and more fantastic sounding events keep popping up here in NYC and in cities across the U.S. Living in New York, I must admit, I’m a little overwhelmed…ok, I’m a lot overwhelmed, just by the sheer amount of choices right now. I have no idea what I’m doing that night, but so far, watching Best Coast at Helmet Lang, dancing to Alexa Chung DJ at Stella McCartney, or meeting style icon Vogue Japan editor Anna Dello Russo at Macy’s all sound pretty good to me. It’s safe to say basically every store in Manhattan and department stores around the world will be serving free drinks, but many places are going above and beyond that. I’ve created a list of the best and randomest events out there (look out for a former Backstreet Boy!) because really, it’s unfortunate, but I can only be in so many places at once that night so you must go, have as much fun possible, and fill me in on all the fabulous details!
