I don’t know about you, but I’m super enamored of Uzo Aduba and Danielle Brooks, better known as Crazy Eyes and Taystee, the characters they play on the Netflix series, Orange is the New Black. Aduba, who has a strong background in theater, is easily one of the best actors on the show, and it doesn’t hurt that her character is incredibly heartbreaking and complex. Brooks plays the perceived comic relief, but as the plot develops, her character, Taystee, is revealed have more depth than we thought.
The two teamed up with Brooklyn-based band, Oh Honey, and made a Christmas music video for ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty). I’m not really a fan of Christmas music, but this is really good, and I welcome any additional screen time with these two while I await OITNB‘s second season. Enjoy!
