I got home last night after the craze-o fun of SXSW, and I was only there for two days, I dont know how these kids do it! Mommy’s is tired. Anyway, there were alot of tatoos, tube socks, beer, bands, spandex and booze. Here is a brief recap of what I saw: Started at the Kemado showcase and watched Children and the Sword, then headed over to the Kill Rock stars showcase and caught Telepathy. Next door was the amazing Does it Offend You Yeah at Elmos, and caugt the tail end of Tight Phantomz (they were tight).

Saturday we did a shoot in the morning with the sweet as pie Kid Sister, then on to the BUST Hangover Craft Party. All the bands were amazing, Grand Ole Party, Yacht, Mika Miko and Heloise and the Savoir Faire. I was too busy to get a massage, but the Bloody Mary’s propped me up fine. Our DJ’s were primo, Sheila B and Elijah Wood were keeping everyone moving between sets.

After the party, I checked out Duffy from the UK, this girl is the inverted version of Amy Winehouse with blonde bouffant, she was great. Then on to catch X, they may be old but they rocked harder than alot of kids these days. We finished up the night at the Vice party which was fun, saw some freak folk 17 member band called Dark Meat. All in all it was a cool time, and I got to meet a bunch of great people.
