BUST has landed in the middle of SXSW! After departing from Philadelphia at 6:30 am, and with a two hour delay in Houston, we have finally arrived in Austin! Needless to say, Southwest Airlines was not flying the friendliest skies today, but all is well, and both yours truly, BUST‘s Associate Music Editor, and Marketing gal Susan Juvet, are here and ready to fill you in on our rock ‘n roll cowgirl adventures.
In true SXSW fashion, I’m crashing with some guy I don’t know, who has turned out to be a lovely host. In addition to being a SXSW virgin, I’m a a first-timer in Austin, so many questions remain unanswered. Will I get lost on a lone star highway? Will I be able to catch a cab tonight? Will I meet a cute southern boy? Stay tuned for daily day-after coverage.
I’m off to wait in hour-long lines for my press badge and tonight will be checking out a show from Todd P., as well as hip-hop DJ’s the Rub! Stay tuned!
